So Elvis, we won’t discuss those last couple records, except to say, please please please let the new record be a hair less BLUESY. Bring the rock, sir. The internets are oddly devoid of info on the new album, just 20 days away from release. No artwork, even. Hmmm.

Sellout Music officially declares April 22-26 ELVIS COSTELLO WEEK. Don’t bother calling the studio. We’ll be in Memphis, we’ll be in Shreveport. Hell, we may even be in New Orleans and Nashville. In fact, we might even bring along the laptop too see if we can’t add another Boondogs credit to this.

Boondogs Recording

The Boondogs spent the weekend in the studio, and we completed basic tracks for 13 songs. Not bad for 2 days work. Planning on finishing these tracks quickly, but may have another batch of songs to cut before we pick what’s on the new record.

Things consumed in 2 days by the band:
Liquid
2 bottles of scotch
2 bottles of bourbon
1 bottle of whiskey
case? of beer
1 bottle of red wine
8 tall americanos
2 tall cappucinos
countless cups of French Roast (extra bold!) coffee
Solid
2 large bottles of olives
1 bag of chips
nuts
dried fruit
garlic toast
hummus
7 lbs of T-Bone steak from Doe’s
dozen fried shrimp (Doe’s)
1/2 dozen tamales (Doe’s)
several waffles (one with 2 pieces of cheese on it!)
various forms of hash browns (scattered, smothered, diced, chunked, etc)
2 pork chops
mmmm bacon
18 piece family meal from Popeye’s
